Academic and Research Experience
Fall 2023 -
Assistant Professor – The University of Massachusetts at Amherst
Kicking off the "2D Bioelectronics" Lab, at the interface of Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and 2D materials.
2020 - 2023
working with Prof. Deji Akinwande and Prof. Jean Anne IncorviaResearch Associate (Independent Scientist) – The University of Texas at Austin
As an independent scientist, although working closely with Prof. Akinwande, and Prof. Incoriva, I am handling a dozen of projects on wearable, implantable, and neuromorphic applications of graphene and 2D materials.
2018 - 2020
PI: Prof. Deji AkinwandePostdoctoral Researcher – The University of Texas at Austin
At the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at AT Austin, I handled multiple projects, including graphene tattoos, wearable blood pressure monitoring systems, and Active nanoelectronic devices from 2D nanomaterials and their heterostructures and their use for bioelectronics.
2017 - 2018
PI: Prof. Andreas OffenhäusserPostdoctoral Researcher – Forschungszentrum Julich, Germany
As a part of the Institute of Bioelectronics (then ICS-8, now IBI-3) of Forschungszentrum Julich, I was working on up-scaling the graphene based implantable sensors technology developed during my PhD.
2013 - 2017
PI: Prof. Andreas OffenhäusserPhD Researcher – Forschungszentrum Julich, Germany
PhD Dissertation: “Large scale fabrication of Graphene FETs and Graphene MEAs for extracellular recordings”
summer 2012
